EBC’s got it all: world-class EDM DJs; absurdly beautiful guests; luxe, three-tiered pools; and a classy, Mediterranean atmosphere. Vegas party veterans recommend you bring a waterproof phone case and not much else—the security check is super strict and lockers are pricey. Lines are longest from noon to 2 pm, so come earlier if possible. For their Thursday night swim (highly recommended), arrive by 10 am to shorten your wait time.

This sprawling, seductive multi-level playground opened in 2015 and quickly garnered a reputation as the best nightclub in Las Vegas. In Omnia's lavish main room, the worlds hottest DJ's spin as clubbers dance beneath a surreal disco-spaceship chandelier that shape-shifts while projecting a pulsing light show. It's all designed to utterly assault your senses and make for an epic Snapchat story. The premium experience comes with a premium price tag, but it's soooo worth it.

This place is what all Vegas pool parties aspire to be. As a Hakkasan Group pool club, Wet Republic pulls big name DJs like Afrojack, Tiësto, Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki. Dodge (or don’t) champagne showers while you catch their sets from one of two large saltwater pools. The enormous video wall above the DJ booth puts on a stunning light show, y’know, if you’re bored of taking in all the bronzed beauties, blue skies, and gently waving palms.

With its gold-plated aesthetic and layout “inspired by the sexy curves of the human party,” this club’s signature ornate style is XS-ive in all the right ways. That painstaking attention to detail extends to the outdoor pool area, which boasts an elaborate lighting and sound system every bit as impressive as the dance floor’s. Table and drink prices at XS are slightly higher than at other top-tier Las Vegas nightclubs, so bring the charge card.

This Wynn club doesn’t have the biggest dancefloor around, but don’t let that deter you from busting a move to the likes of Macklemore, Marshmello, Flosstradamus, and other top EDM and hip-hop artists. Surrender is known for the incredible 90-foot snake decorating the back of the bar as well as its plush VIP tables ringed by gorgeous pole dancers. When you need a breather, pop over to the gaming pavilion or the pool area, which is heated when it’s chilly out.

Though Marquee features its fair share of high-profile performers, you're more likely to come here for the vibes than the DJs. The main room has amazing energy, thanks to a unique circular dance floor, a sensuous light show, and a drawbridge where dancers perform above the DJ. Marquee also offers a hip-hop room (Boombox) and a sophisticated VIP area (Library Lounge). Pro tip: tables in Boombox and the Library Lounge are much cheaper than the main room.

1OAK stands for “one of a kind,” which encapsulates the experience of this Vegas nightclub. It features two rooms with distinct themes, music and design. 1OAK’s music calendar is diverse, and features open-format DJs, live performances and hip-hop. Come here if you want to spot celebs (it’s a Kardashian family favourite) or see surprise live performances by up-and-coming top 40 artists.

JEWEL is the small but mighty cousin of the other megaclubs on the Strip. This Hakkasan Group property hosts performances by the likes of Drake, the Chainsmokers, and Steve Aoki. The signature attraction is the DJ booth’s production wall, replete with huge, dual-sided LED video screens that bounce with the music. If you hate feeling cramped, though, you’ll wanna spring for a table. Really feel like throwing down? The mezzanine has five private suites with great views and unique themes (vintage speakeasy, anyone?)

Marquee Dayclub throws pool parties year-round, thanks to the "Marquee Dome", which keeps things cosy during the winter. Its eight cabanas come loaded with indulgent perks, including infinity pools. There's also a gaming area available. Though it's not the biggest dayclub around, Marquee's great because it caters both to those who crave some R&R and those who want to keep the party going.

You don’t get to be one of the longest-running Vegas pool parties for no reason. Tao is famed for its high-energy parties and delicious, icy Tao-tinis. Thursdays are buy-one-get-one-free on select pitchers, and if you order the $55 prix-fixe Sunday brunch at Italian eatery Lavo, you'll score one of their Asian-inspired daybeds for free.

Come hungry—this upscale Vegas mainstay is known for the excellent Asian bistro downstairs, offering Chinese, Thai and Japanese small plates amidst extravagant touches like bathtubs full of rose petals. It seems the young, rich and famous appreciate TAO’s glamorous, Eastern-influenced décor because this multi-room party palace plays host to celebrities quite frequently. In fact, pretty much everyone loves TAO: it’s consistently been one of the world’s top-grossing nightclubs since opening in 2005.

Chateau’s dance floor and bar are totally serviceable, but nothing extraordinary. The real selling point is the open-air rooftop, nestled directly beneath an iconic replica of the Eiffel Tower and overlooking the lovely fountains of Bellagio. Combine that with panoramic views of the Strip and a lavish garden reminiscent of Versailles? Que magnifique!

When you’re ready for a change of pace—and something slightly less rowdy—House of Blues perfectly fits the bill. Chow down on Southern and Cajun-style eats, like jambalaya and Carolina ‘cue, then wash it all down with a NOLA-inspired Hurricane. Afterwards, head downstairs to the music hall, where you’re likely to catch performances by a country crooner or a comedy act.

Located in southwest Henderson, DayDream is more of a locals’ secret than a tourist spot. If you’re ballin’ on a budget, this is the place to be: it’s got the infinity pool, cabanas, DJs, hot tubs, and other features you’ll find on the Strip, but at an easier-to-stomach price point. Come before noon, and the general admission cost of $20 is waived for women and half-off for men.

On select Sundays throughout the summer, the Luxor hosts Temptation, AKA the hottest and longest-running gay pool party in Vegas. Although the event obviously caters to the LGBT demographic, all are welcome. Cabanas, the Luxor pyramid, and go-go boys complete the scene.

The LIGHT at Mandalay Bay offers a unique experience that truly shines. Though The LIGHT doesn’t always have top-tier DJs, it more than compensates for that with its visual experience. Besides the massive transparent visualization wall and state-of-the-art light show, there are also Cirque du Soleil acrobats and dancers to tantalize your eyes. Plus, insiders say the second tier tables here are the best value for bottle service in Las Vegas.

Modelled after a ‘50s hair salon (complete with retro hair dryers), Beauty Bar stands out from the crowd in the trendy Fremont East district. During the day, you can actually get a manicure with your cocktail; at night, Beauty Bar transforms into a two-stage concert venue. The stage indoors typically hosts live DJs. On the back patio, rising rock, hip-hop and indie acts play intimate sets.

Bottle service is all well and good, but sometimes you want someone else to mix the drinks for you (and expertly, at that). This swanky speakeasy pours distinctive, complex, original cocktails and has plenty more quirks besides. Designed to be a word-of-mouth destination, the bar was built with a mysterious trick door—we won’t spoil the fun. Their soundtrack of funk and deep-house music will get you on a good vibration.

The Rio’s pool complex is off the Strip, but worth the short commute. It’s comprised of four different pool areas, but you’ll want the Voo, the top-optional adult pool. Cascading waterfalls and a real white sand beach make for prime photo backdrops, and we would be remiss if we failed to mention the five whirlpool spas. VooDoo’s got DJs and go-go dancers, but also poolside spa services and palm-shaded hammocks so you can have it your way.

Rehab is one of the OG Vegas pool parties, and it's still one of the greatest. This five-acre tropical oasis is known for fun touches, like swim-up blackjack tables, shotskis, jello shot injectors and bottle service delivered via pirate ship floaties. The DJ booth is fully loaded with LED screens, smoke machines, and water cannons. Rehab features local DJs and live performances by hip-hop artists. Come on a Sunday for the best experience.

Daylight is inspired by the clubs of Ibiza, with a layout centralized around their massive stage and lighting rig. The performance setup is especially impressive during the monthly Eclipse night parties when hip-hop acts like J. Cole and iLoveMakonnen light up the stage. Daylight has prices lower or equal to similar day clubs and is renowned for having an above-average food and drink menu. Be warned, however, waits for a drink can be long, as there’s only one bar.

The fun begins with the glass elevator ride up to the VooDoo Lounge, which occupies the 50th and 51st floors of the Rio. The party gets bumping on a weekend night, with revellers vying for space at the patio railing to enjoy the view. Skip the food here and instead opt for the seafood buffet downstairs. Afterwards, head upstairs and let the flair bartenders handle libations (the rum-heavy Witch Doctor is a crowd-pleaser).

Party animals love Hyde Bellagio for its legendary XIV Sessions costume parties and dope terrace views of the Bellagio fountains. Chandeliers, marble tiling, exceptional cocktails, and a dance-wherever-you-want policy are among the thoughtful details that give this lounge its Euro-chic feel. Hyde is on the smaller side at 10,000 square feet, so it’s another spot where you may prefer to reserve a table.

Situated on the rooftop of the Cromwell, Drai’s Beach Club has killer views of the famous Bellagio Fountains as well the heart of the Strip. It also has possibly the best poolside dining and drinks (try the roasted salmon sandwich and the eternally popular frosé slushie). What it lacks in A-list DJ talent, DBC makes up in atmosphere and high-octane energy. If you get the chance, check out their Tuesday “Yacht Club” nightswims.

TAO’s sister establishment, LAVO, serves up Italian staples with Vegas-style grandeur and elegance. A romantic ambience is created by high, carved wooden ceilings, low-hanging chandeliers and leather seating. Patrons sing the praises of the wagyu meatballs, as well as the attentive, warm service. Note that it’s on the Strip, so prices are inflated accordingly.

Mandarin Bar makes the most of its stunning 23rd-floor views of the Strip with three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. Though best known for fresh gourmet cocktails with an Asian twist, they don’t skimp on quality with the small plates, either. Mandarin Bar’s views, paired with its sophisticated décor—dark wood floors, leather armchairs, and a backlit bar— make it the perfect upscale palate cleanser after a weekend of clubbing.

Liquid is more intimate and sophisticated than other popular pool parties, and plush wicker furniture makes it exceptionally comfy. They go all out with their VIP cabanas, which come with private pools, TVs, and daybeds. Drinks are relatively reasonable, with beers and shots starting at $8 and champagne and mixed drinks at $15. Go here to skip the long lines and stretch your dollar a bit further—especially if you’re not worried about seeing superstar EDM DJs.

Built in 1972, Peppermills kitschy neon theme and retro staff uniforms make it an old-school classic. Its also been the setting of music videos for everyone from Avenged Sevenfold to Carlos Santana, so be sure to snap a selfie. The bar area is in the back and, features a circular booth centred around a fire pit. Patrons go nuts for the Scorpion cocktail, which is as big as your head. The restaurant side serves diner fare and is open 24 hours, making it ideal for devouring a big, greasy meal at the end of the night.

Sports maniacs, come by this rooftop bar and grill to catch the game and still get some fresh air beneath the open sky. There are TVs everywhere you turn, AstroTurf and ceramic Solo cups complement the man cave theme. The less sports-obsessed can entertain themselves by playing board games at the picnic tables, or snapping pictures of the excellent views of the Strip and the Bellagio fountains. Go for the loaded tater tots and you'll regret nothing.

If you’re tired of the cramped spaces and long lines that accompany the most hyped Vegas pool parties, the GO Pool is the place to be. The crowd skews slightly older and the vibe a bit mellower. You can get a pitcher of craft beer for $45, which is practically unheard of on the Strip. You may be able to negotiate a price as low as $100 for the daybeds, too.

This modern tiki bar is a local's haunt for sure. Its tucked away in a random complex in Chinatown, making it feel like a hidden treasure. Which, when you think about it, is entirely appropriate. Their incredibly strong, rum-centric tiki drinks come in bright colours and cool novelty cups. The best, though, is their tableside Martinique Ti service, which entails a mixologist preparing you a tailor-made rum cocktail. Grab a drink and then wander around looking at the vast array of Vegas memorabilia plastered on the walls.

Bare was one of the first dayclubs to bring the topless trend to Vegas pool parties and for that, Las Vegas will be forever grateful. Their intimate 14,000 square feet lounge is more relaxing than rowdy, and the crowd skews slightly older, so it’s not the place to go if you’re looking for a spring break vibe. The DJs spin EDM and the top 40 at moderate volume. Keep cool with strawberry mojito pitchers, and try the lobster tacos if you get peckish.

Located on the 64th floor of the Delano, Skyfall is all about the view. This elevated venue has elevated prices to match, but you can get a deal during happy hour, which goes from five through to till seven in the afternoon. Another benefit to coming early, you can gaze through the floor-to-ceiling windows as the sun sets and the neon lights gradually flicker on. Magical.

Gold Spike is famous for having an abundance of life-sized games, including beer pong, shuffleboard, Jenga, corn hole and much more. Its spacious, open layout is a nice change of pace from some of the more hectic nightclubs, and there are often bands playing in the backyard. There’s also a dance floor, giant couches, and pool tables indoors. Because it’s downtown, prices are way lower than on the strip, with mixed drinks costing between $8-$12. Why not?

Another downtown gem, Millenium Fandom is a cosplay speakeasy tailored to the tastes of, yup, millennials. Which is to say: this is a geek’s selfie heaven. Hey, geeks are cool now! The bar area pays homage to sci-fi classic Metropolis, and the rest of the space includes decorative nods to Star Wars, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, etc. Check in on Yelp to save on their (already affordable) cocktails. Party long and prosper.

The highlight of this place is, you guessed it, the fact that it looks like a gigantic chandelier. The bar occupies three levels of the Cosmopolitan casino, the top two of which feature lounge seating, full bars, and craft cocktails. The drinks are affordable relative to comparable spaces like Bellagio’s or Ceasar’s and are as pretty as the chandelier itself. On the spacious bottom floor, you’ll find DJ performances and a more club-like experience.  

This place is the definition of a dive bar, which is to say that it stands in defiant diametric opposition to the opulent lounges and megaclubs on the Strip. The bartenders are a bit surly and the bathrooms are covered in latrinalia, but this place feels dingy and dangerous by design. Their jukebox is the best in town, and the drinks and pool tables are dirt-cheap. Try the ass juice shot. No, seriously.

Though it has an indoor bar, Rhumbar’s main draw is one of the nicest outdoor patios on the Strip. Chill out with one of their many top-shelf rums and a Cuban-style cigar. Hookah is also available. The patio has misters when it’s hot and heat lamps when it’s cold, so it’s comfy year-round. At night, DJs spin for partiers grooving on the dance floor.

Moorea Beach Club is one of the largest “toptional” pool parties around. Arrive 15 minutes before they open at 11 am, and you’ll likely manage to score a free chair. Otherwise, you can reserve one for $45, with admission included in that price. Their DJs are lesser-known names, but they keep the party going, mixing throwback hip-hop with top 40 tracks. When it gets too hot, you can go upstairs without exiting the pool party and play blackjack in the air conditioning.

Sammy Hagar owns this place, so you can rest assured you’ll be partying like a rock star. Sit on the patio to take in great views of the Strip while you throw back your tequila cocktails and tasty Tex Mex. Sports fans will want to sit in the upstairs lounge, which has a 180-inch project screen, a 184-inch video grid, and a multitude of 80-inch HD TVs. So. Much. Sports.

That’s PBR as in “professional bull riders.” Steel your nerves by slinging back a cowboy cocktail or two, then sign up to take a ride on Bill the mechanical bull. This huge, rodeo-themed restaurant/sports bar delivers on the spectacle front: besides the bull, there’s also a custom-made jumbotron, live music, and tire swings filled with hot cowgirls. The menu’s all Southern comfort food, so leave the vegetarians and health-conscious killjoys behind.

The party starts at noon at Palms’ “Ditch Fridays,” one of the funnest events you’ll find on a Friday afternoon in Vegas, which is really saying something. Kick your weekend off with champagne showers, celebrity guests, jumbo-sized yard games, and a solid line-up of DJs and performers.  This off-strip destination also plays hosts to the Midsummer Lingerie Carnival, which is as spectacular as it sounds.

This boutique cocktail bar isn’t on the radar of your average tourist, as it’s located far from the Strip in the old downtown area. Its long wooden bar and Victorian furniture give it a hip, old-school lounge feel, sans pretension. It goes without saying, but you won’t find EDM playing here; the soundtrack veers more towards Lou Reed and Bowie. If you’re down with that, come chat with the Rabbit’s mixologists to get a delectable cocktail customised to your taste buds.

When you’re way too sunburned to spend another day by the pool, this brewpub is a fun (and moderately priced) way to wile away the afternoon. This locals’ favourite is conveniently located in the Fremont District. Guests rave about the sandía wheat and the jalapeño hefeweizen, but really, you should just get a couple of flights so you can sample a wide variety.
